He will be the starter each and every game Rodgers can’t go due to injury. Howard is a break glass in case of emergency #3, and if Rodgers AND Rudolph go down. And if that happens, Pittsburgh will still go out and get a Ryan Tannehill or someone with experience to come in as the starter. Next year, Pittsburgh has 13 draft picks stocked up, the draft is in Pittsburgh, and it’s going to be a great QB class. Pittsburgh WILL be putting together a trade to get one of the top 3. After that, Rudolph is the likely bridge, but Howard will get a fair shake at #2 while the rookie learns. That will be his one real and small shot.
