Other's might say (NOT ME--I'M NOT SAYING THIS, OTHER'S MIGHT, BUT NOOOO, NOT ME) that this is similar to the punishment being meted out to Hamas fighters in Gaza.

It is a huge overflow to build, but examining maps, the Radisson Reservoir is vast. It appears to drain westwards for miles until it meets the dam at Observatoire la grande-1. I know little of Canada. Very interesting

Haha yes, see above. I knew it wouldn't make a difference and that some folks might want to see what "bathroom on fire" looked like. It didn't include the exhaust fan in the ceiling that was shooting out flames, though, sorry!

Mrs Klaus was telling me about this in the car yesterday. We were 7 blocks away (at the Plaza hotel) when it occurred. And two blocks from it an hour earlier. I’ve been off grid mainly so haven’t absorbed the details.

And wondering if I’m the only looking at KathyK’s glasses and thinking: what kind of sorcery is this?? Oh no. The glitch in the matrix. I'm sorry that the whole party and it's participants are AI-generated. Including this post. Did you notice anyone with more than 5 fingers on one hand during the party? Especially when playing Chopin’s 4th ballade extra fingers could come in handy. Did you check KathyK’s son?

@LuFins-Dad said in My dogs are barking…: Over the last 4 days, I have personally moved 28 digital pianos, 10 vertical pianos (Luke helped me with that), 6 grands torn down and reset, unboxed 2 communication labs, and ran 1100 feet of cable through a ceiling/floor in a building with no AC and 98 degree temps. Then I came back, emptied 3 200lb desks and personally moved them into back rooms of the showroom The piano industry is not as glamorous as you would think… I bet you lost 5 pounds at least doing all of that, that's a heck of a sweat workout!

@89th said in So I bought a piano: My wife and her family didn't play instruments, whereas my siblings and I did. So I'm biased that I think it's important to learn the basics of music when you're around this age... what better way than a piano where each key is clear as day. Once they figure out the basics by looking at the keyboard, you can move them onto something cool like a saxophone, or if they're really gifted a banjo.

Hahaha, that is great. The number of times I say "what did you think was going to happen?" each day is quite high. This morning two kids were wrestling near the wall, one kid bonked his head off the wall. "What did you think was going to happen if you guys wrestle near a wall?"

I'm just glad they are in the space above China and not the USA. They can have one half, we can have the other. That's how space works, right?

RIP. Same age as my dad, who I think rather enjoyed his satire - this kind of sharp humour was right up his street.

@Mik said in Grill update.: Went to a Neapolitan pie place in Northern Kentucky tonight. Excellent Margherita pie. Crust was very good, but not quitee as chewy as I like. Their San Marzano tomato sauce was probably the best I’ve ever had. Delicious. It would be a much harsher world without San marzanos

@Mik said in Hey Lufin - Steelers QB update: Looking good for Howard. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/tomlin-s-steelers-force-rodgers-exit-as-qb-crisis-deepens/ar-AA1JmrIS :eyeroll: Howard might possibly have a Tom Brady or Brock Purdy type of amazing career, but that’s doubtful. Right now he needs to fight to make the #3 spot over Skylar Thompson, and that’s not a sure thing. The kid has been okay when he’s been in with the #3s, but that’s going up against the #3s as well. However, as is always the case, the backup QB is always the most popular man in town. Especially when they are young and recently drafted. Now make them young, recently drafted, from a somewhat local school watched by the locals, AND won the National Championship. So you have a bunch of Yinzers all over this guy like brown on unprocessed rice. Rodgers is coming in as kinda unpopular, and he knows it. He also knows this next year is going to be the swing year as far as his legacy goes, so he is going to say and do the right things, and I am sure he will be a decent mentor for the kid. At the same time, Roethlisberger has pissed off a good portion of the fanbase because of his treatment of Rudolph and Pickett, so he is trying to show support for the young guy. At the same time, the simple and unadulterated facts are: Rodgers is the #1 and will be the number 1 so long as he’s healthy. Mason Rudolph is the #2 and has looked the best in camp so far. He will be the starter each and every game Rodgers can’t go due to injury. Howard is a break glass in case of emergency #3, and if Rodgers AND Rudolph go down. And if that happens, Pittsburgh will still go out and get a Ryan Tannehill or someone with experience to come in as the starter. Next year, Pittsburgh has 13 draft picks stocked up, the draft is in Pittsburgh, and it’s going to be a great QB class. Pittsburgh WILL be putting together a trade to get one of the top 3. After that, Rudolph is the likely bridge, but Howard will get a fair shake at #2 while the rookie learns. That will be his one real and small shot. The far likelier scenario is they want Howard to develop into the future QB’s steady #2z
